When was Sportscene created?
Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Sportscene was acquired by the Foschini .
Group in 1996. Despite the difficulties the company has faced due to covid 19 pandemic, Sportscene remains committed to increasing the positive impact of the youth culture creative industry, creating spaces for emerging and established artists from South Africa, with the renovation of its store in CapeTown. The store now boasts a Walk Fresh shoe laundry, a Black & White Tattoos parlour and a wide range of shoes and clothing. The new store also has a music recording studio, where young artists can record their music for free. Sportscene´s senior marketing coordinator, Bianca Kensley believes that ¨it´s part of the Sportscene vision to be enablers in a country with so much talent.¨Sportscene stores embrace music, art and sneaker culture.
